I’d like to compile the largest database of Zalewski family trees this side of Poland. The first step in this process is to collect these family trees. So, I’m asking all of you with Zalewski family trees out there to send them my way. As long as you send them in a format that I can read, it doesn’t matter to me what it is (GEDCOM, Family Tree Maker, XML, Text files, etc.)

I started a database of some of the Zalewski information that I have. I got most of the information from a quick record search, including census records. View the current database.
I am no longer adding to the database, but I did start The Zalewski Project website, which has similar goals.

Well, I haven’t received too many trees yet. I have two small ones and I was working on grabbing all of the info I could find in some of the early census reports. I’ll definitely update the site when I get more!

I have no family tree initiated or anything but I think what you’re doing is great! I’ve always been uber curious about my ancestry but just never took the time to dig into it. Im in the Army and im in Iraq at right now but upon redeployment Im very interested into doing research into my family tree and adding it to here. Thanks much!!

I dont know much, but I know that my father Stanislaw, and his father Wawrzyniec, and his brother Jerzy (he disapeared under II War in Germany) lived in Warsaw. Their family come from Podlasie (Polesie) in Poland.Great great mother was Oledzka (Rawicz). Not much but mayby something that I can find somebody. My children will by very happy to know their roots. My english is not good, but I try.
